Milestone Update

Big milestone news update from the Pieczynski house! (WARNING!! If you are not a parent, you may not understand how exciting Courtney's news is.) Jacob is heading off to Pre-K! (Pictures of this will come in September) Courtney is pooping in the potty! Alex is eating rice cereal!
Courtney's prize for wearing big girl underwear and putting her poops in the potty is Dora the Explorer Roller Skates. (I'm sure our prize will be a trip to Urgent Care.)

Alex is all about the rice cereal. You can see him trying to grab it out of my hand and then going into a food coma. He sure loves the food, maybe that explains the almost 16 pounds!!

The Strawberry Shortcake Party

Courtney loves Strawberry Shortcake and princesses. It was a big decision for her to pick one for her cake. Luckily Party City came in with Princess Strawberry Shortcake on their clearance aisle (love 50% off!!!)

We had cake.......

presents for her baby......

Gal pal Kyleigh.........

Alex got a friend too, Zakary........

And the great Godmomma Miss Dara!

Jacob "Bob the Builer" Turns 4!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACOB!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

My baby is now 4. He had his Bob the Builder party on the 4th of July. He had a "Bob" cake, "Bob" shirt, and got lots of "Bob" gifts. He even stayed up to watch the fireworks. Of course, due to his phobia of noise other than his own, we watched them from our bedroom window. Thanks Schnepf Farms for the free awesome view of your fireworks show!
P.S. Here is a "Save the Date" announcement: The little cutie that he is sharing crackers with on the couch is Mady. They will be getting hitched sometime around 2028. Location TBD.

Zoo Day

A couple of weeks ago, my dear mother asks if she can take my kids to the zoo. I think, "Well of course, they love the zoo, and I love a day where you take them somewhere out of my house". Here's the catch (there is always a catch), I have to go too. Oh sure, the zoo, in June, in Arizona, 100+++ degrees, sounds like fun. Well, the kids had a blast. And, contrary to the pictures, there are animals at the zoo other than my kids and goats.

A Day In The Life

I just got my doopa (don't really know how to spell, but polish for butt) off the treadmill and now Bob the Builder (that is what Jacob likes to be called now) is painting my walls, Courtney is running around in her princess pullup (she finally pooped in the potty yesterday!!!! who knows if she'll do it again), and Alex is snoring(by the way, he can roll over now). Yesterday I did 8 loads of laundry and we have 5 tons of rock being delivered tomorrow which we get to haul into our back yard, apparently in buckets because my brother's wheelbarrow wouldn't fit in the Sentra. Now Courtney is on the potty singing her ABC's. Hopefully her boredom means that poop is coming. I really, really want to see her poop (did I just say that?) Bob the Builder asked "Pretend J.J." for some more pretend paint and the ABC's are now, "Row Row Row the diaper". Just another day in the Pieczynski house.

CAREERS

We have started mapping out the kids' career paths (very important to have done before preschool). Jacob has chosen firefighter (see lower post) or Bob the Builder. Courtney may be a cowgirl (thanks Lindsey for the right uniform). Alex is going to be Mr. Universe.

BIG RED GOOEY FISH

During our Chicago trip, we went to Brandywine Lake in Michigan. The kids played in the water, went on a canoe, drove a pontoon boat, and learned how to fish. They even caught some Big Red Gooey Fish! (You would have to be a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse watcher to know about the Gooey Fish. Isn't everyone a frequent watcher of Mickey Mouse?)

FIREMAN JACOB

Jacob wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. He visited a fire station to learn how to put them out and he visited Uncle Tony's to learn how to start them.

Alex's Big Baptism Day

Alex had his baptism on April 27, in California (yes, this was also our anniversary). It was done at his Uncle Jim's church. The whole family showed up for the big event. His Godparents are his Aunt Diane and his Uncle Tony.
