Hiking

Jerry took the kids on a hike in the San Tan Mountains.
They found great walking sticks.

Courtney is pretty sure she doesn't ever want to go hiking again. Too much walking for the Princess.

I had to include this picture of Courtney's hair because I am sure it will never be this cute again. No......... I did not do it. Thank you Stephanie. We will need you over here every Monday for Dance Class Hair :)

Krispy Kreme

Well, Courtney has done it again. She has managed to crash another of Jacob's fun field trips while Mom is stuck at work with visions of Krispy Kreme dancing in my head. I want to go back to Pre-School and learn how to make donuts!

We had twins!!!!

They were just born 3 1/2 years apart.Alex at 8 months
Jacob at 7 months

Halloween Fun

Jacob and Courtney had a good time getting candy as a Pirate and Little Red Riding Hood. Alex went as Jacob. (yes, I am cheap)
Halloween also means the end of our Fireworks Show. We get a free one, Thursday-Sunday during the month of October in our backyard.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!!

Jacob had a fun Field Trip to Mother Nature's Farm on Friday. They got to go on a hay ride and bring home pumpkins! Courtney and Alex got to join in on the fun.
The class, with the lovely Mrs. Skinner, or Goosey.

That is Mr. Banana's, the class friend with Jacob.

And yes, we got to carve the pumpkins, too.

Day at the Park

We had a great day today at Kiwanis Park with Miss Dara, Galpal Kyleigh, Miss Cheryl, and our new best buddy Zackary!
Okay boys, we are taking a picture now, look cute and smile at Mama!

Snoopy is our friend

Our neighbors have a blow up Snoopy. He is our friend, along with "Punkin" and "What's His name?" (Oh yeah, Woodstock). We have to go and visit him every night. The kids give all their "friends" kisses and tell them goodnight. Please ignore the outfits my kids are sporting, these are pajamas and the shoes they picked out themselves. Yes, Jacob is wearing rain boots in the desert.

National Children's Day

Sunday (10-12-08) is National Children's Day (just in case they need a special day to rule your life!) We celebrated by having a picnic at Freestone Park, "The Train Park" with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Lisa and Olivia, and the Bojanowski's (Sorry, I had no good pics of them but I swear they were there). Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for providing most of the picnic. It is always a great day when we can spend it with you.

How To Win A Child's Heart........

Take them to Cold Stone! Jacob had his first Field Trip, they learned about making ice cream.Daddy helped pick out the ingredients.
He got to help at the cash register and handle money. (Ice cream and money - straight to his heart.)
And of course, the lovely Mrs. Skinner!

Meeting the Stars

We took the kids to the Kid's Faire at the U of Phoenix Stadium. The had fun, us..... not so much. But they did get to meet some of their favorite stars.

He's not really a star, just a random pirate.

They planted seeds. We are now trying to make them grow into plants at home.

Look What I Can Do!

I can dance!
In true "diva" fashion, Courtney cried for most of the dance class, then two days later was upset because it wasn't another "dance class day".

I can build!

I can be super cute!

Happy Birthday Mom

Happy Birthday Mom! Yes, it was on the 10th, but I can only blog on weekends. Blame those cute kids in the picture with you.

Happy Grandparents Day

I want to wish a Very Happy Grandparents Day to all of the Grandparents in our lives. You are all such an amazing inspiration for our children and hold such a special place in our hearts. We love you more than a little blog can explain. Happy Grandparents Day to Ed, Betty, Mary, and Verna. And to Erv, Vic, Howard, and Sue...... May this day in heaven be that much more special to you as you watch over your grandchildren down below. We love you forever.

From The Mouth of a 4 Year Old

Here are some recent Jacobisms:
*(background: Kayola has a door in her kitchen with a fist hole in it)
J: Why is there a hole in that door?
K: Oh, one of my boys put his hand through it.
J: Why? Couldn't he find the handle? Was it too low?

* Kayola: Hey Sugar.
Jacob: What did you call me?
K: Sugar.
J: Oh, I don't know if my mommy likes that word.

* Me: Is Courtney up yet?
Jacob: Yes. I woke her up in the morning light. That is what our prayers say to do, "Wake her in the morning light. Amen". So I did.
(You have to know the less frightening version of "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" to get this one)
