Fun Day

I have found a new favorite place! We took the kids to the pool at Basha High School today with the other families in our Small Group. It was a blast. There is an entire area with slides for the miniature people!! They loved it. We even hit the Lazy River. Then I was wondering...... there were 8 adults there, doesn't anyone have to work on a Friday morning? This is Jaxon, he seems like a very sweet kid, and I would never accuse him of anything, however, 2 seconds after this photo, Alex was in the pool.

Fun playing dress up with Olivia.

Jacob Graduates Preschool

Jacob had his Preschool Graduation on Saturday. The lovely Mrs. Skinner put on a great day. We are so proud of everything that he has learned and so thankful for everything that she has done.
This is the great hat he wore!
This is an awesome picture that she made as a gift for Jacob. Yep, that's my little man on the swing!

This woman has creative talent! This is the book she made for each of the kids. It is filled with brag items from throughout the year.

Here is a video of the graduation ceremonies. Before you play the video, go to the bottom of the blog and pause the music.

We Are Popular!

We have another little guest who would like to make our backyard his home! We think that this is a baby rattlesnake. I got close enough to take his picture, but he didn't want me to count his rattlers. We took another family vote and decided we did not want to invite him to stay, so we sprayed him out the gate. However, he seems to not understand the binding value of a family vote, and he came back the next day.

House Guest

I would like to introduce you to our newest house guest. This little Mama Bird has decided to set up her home on our patio. The kids are pretty excited to have her and called for a family vote to see if her whole family could move in. We discussed having her move inside, but Jacob was concerned about the ceiling fans meeting her head.

Courtney's First Party

Dance class is almost over. This Saturday is the big recital where she gets to dance on the "big stage". Here she is with gal pal Reagan in ballet outfits. This is the tap outfit, or her demo outfit for playboy :) It's a good thing she is only 3!

To celebrate, Courtney got to go to her first Swim Party.

Here is her first sno - cone. She wasn't a big fan.

Reunion Time

So apparently it is my month to reunite with some long lost friends! It started with Autumn. Here is the wise old women that we are today. Steve is a staple in this reunion. We all became friends back in 8th grade.
Here is us being silly back in the younger years!

Last week I got to hang out with Jen. Another fave from BHC! We were friends in high school, roomies for awhile in college, and now still good, although long distant friends.
Then today, I go to my Picnic Crew meeting at Scottsdale Train Park, and there is Cindy Davis!
People are crawling out of the woodworks! Whose next?

Pay It Forward

So, here's how this game works-the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (or be lazy and copy and paste like I did). Then come back, let me know you're going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! Well isn't this fun? (This could also be a shameless way of getting people to actually leave me comments!)

Spring????

They may be calling this spring......... but here at our house..............Summer is in full swing!

The kids were so giddy to get back in the pool. I decided that I am not quite swimsuit ready (they are just innocent children, I can't in good concious scare them like that!) so I am the camera woman and Jerry is the freezing pool buddy. See Dara - he's still my "Pool Boy".

Jacob is pretty happy to be back in a swimsuit. He of course has the rainboots on, just in case.

Why I love Queen Creek

The town of Queen Creek hosted a Spring Family Celebration which included a visit by the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt!

We were joined by Cousin Olivia and Pal Samuel.

I think there were a few eggs left when we were gone :)

Alex Walks

'

He has actually been walking for quite awhile now. But I so love my Flip, that I have it on video and wanted to share. I would have shared sooner, but of course the computer issues that are mentioned in earlier posts detracted me from this.

Air Show

Last Sunday was the Air Show at Luke's Air Force Base. After I invited my family over to my mom's house, my dad was kind enough to accompany us to the event.
Wow! We are high up!

Hey! Stop aiming that thing at mommy!

Okay, the princess is done. Let's go home. Thanks daddy for the fun day! Thanks mom for staying home with Alex.

Picnic Fun

We had another great picnic at Kiwanis Park with our picnic friends. (BONUS!! I think that my spat with my computer has ended for the time being. These pictures are coming up much faster than the last posts. It does work to threaten to throw a computer out the window!)

Olivia loved the swings. Sorry sweetheart, but if you go with Aunt Rose, it WILL be blogged.

Alex snuggled up to future mom-in-law, Miss Lori. She is the mom to the cutie-pie Ellie you will see below.

Courtney loves the cookies!

Miss Dara and Kyleigh.

Here is Ellie already causing a ruckus with the boys.

Best Sound Ever

I think that this is the best sound ever! I could listen to it forever and it always makes my heart happy. If you want to listen to the sound, go down to the bottom and hit the pause button on my music player. If the sound on this video doesn't make you smile, you need to get your happies checked. Call me and I can have an in-home demonstration for you and your friends to sell you new happies :)

Outrage!

So the lovely town of Queen Creek has been busy adding a new McDonald's which has been big news around this house. The kids could not wait to check it out and would make us do drive bys to see how many more days until the Grand Opening Celebration. 3 days to go.... 2 days to go.... 1 more day............. Finally, the big day came. It was a lovely Friday before Spring Break and I had an early release day (LOVE THOSE) so I said that I would take the kids to McDonald's. They were giddy. And then we get there, scramble out of the van, only to find out........................
there is NO playland. WHAT??????????? Why would you build a brand spanking new McDonald's and not put in a playland. Now some of you without kids may be quickly adding this McDonald's as your new favorite, but not this bunch. The kids may look happy in the photo, but believe me, they are crying inside (and of course later in the van).
